Weve been consitenly understaffed for the entire year ive worked here, meaning ive been doing 2-3 people's jobs for the pay of one. Our ac has been out for the past 5 months so its been over 94 degrees inside every day, i go home feeling ill and sore after every shift.
What needs to change to make the company culture better?
The opening manager drives customers away. The AC needs to be fixed. Insiders need to be receiving their tips.
What did you like most about the interview process?
It was quick and over with and i appreciate the owner giving me a chance after barely meeting me. I believe I've proved myself to be one of his most useful employees.
What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
The opening manager cancels 3rd party orders because she doesnt want to make them and refuses to take large orders, we used to get a lot of business from large companies nearby like at&t and hotels etc and not anymore.
What are some of the best things about your team?
I appreciate that the managers and owner will talk to you like people and listen to concerns, however the owner tends to make empty promises. The managers do the best they can but theres some things that they cant change without the owner.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Yes I feel undervalued. I very recently got bumped to shift lead, and a whole dollar raise yay (Sarcasm). In sacrificing my long term health in this heat for $10 an hour while keeping both this store and his other location afloat. I cant keep doing this.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
We dont currently have a GM but the previous one seems to have been stealing tips. Our main manager who has been temporarily acting as GM works herself way too hard. Shes a sweetheart but is also doing 2-3 people's jobs at a time including driving when we're short on drivers (which is often).
