Ms. Beth Carruthers has been the Managing Director of Human Services - U.K. at MAXIMUS, Inc. since June 4, 2016. Ms. Carruthers served as Chief Executive of Remploy Ltd. since January 1, 2014 until June 4, 2016 and serves as its Executive Director. Ms. Carruthers has been Director of Remploy's Employment Services Business since 2005. She first began working with Remploy Ltd in 2000 and has a strong background in management an organizational development. She leveraged her private sector expertise in program and change management to design and implement an employer led business model, which has resulted in Remploy becoming the leading provider of disability employment services in the U.K., enabling 100,000 individuals with disabilities to transform their lives. Ms. Carruthers played a key role in managing Remploy's transition from government owned entity to its joint venture with MAXIMUS. Her current responsibilities include ensuring that Remploy remains the market leader in providing disability employment support. She has wealth of knowledge, experience and insight of the welfare to work sector. Prior to joining Remploy, Ms. Carruthers was a Director of the U.K.'s Employment Related Services Association and a founding member of the POWER group. Ms. Carruthers also serves as a Director of Workability International. Ms. Carruthers holds a degree in education from Glasgow University where she developed a particular interest in special educational needs. Her professional education includes programs from Cranfield and Ashridge business schools. She is a member of the INSEAD International Management School Alumni having completed the Advanced Management Program.
