Mr. John Mark Freeman, Esq. has been General Counsel, Senior Vice President and Corporate Secretary at McDermott International, Inc. since August 14, 2017. Mr. Freeman has been Secretary of Global Industries Ltd. since December 1, 2011. He joined McDermott from TechnipFMC where he was Special Advisor to the Integration of Technip and FMC. He served as Vice President and General Counsel of Technip USA. He served as Group General Counsel at TechnipFMC plc since October 16, 2015. He was responsible for all legal, compliance and insurance matters. He served as the Chief Legal Compliance Officer and Group Counsel for Baker Hughes Reservoir Technology and Consulting. He served as Vice President Legal & Regional Compliance Officer for Technip North America. He has over 30 years of legal experience - with the U.S. government, in private practice and with three different major companies in the energy sector. Prior to joining Technip in April 2009, he was with Baker Hughes Incorporated, where he held a number of different legal and compliance positions. He was Prosecuting Attorney for the U.S. Office of Special Counsel and service as a Special Assistant U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia. Mr. Freeman holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Business Management from The University of Texas and a Juris Doctorate from the Washington & Lee University School of Law.
