Microsoft Compensation Employee Reviews

What is the best part about your compensation package?

What I like the most is the health insurance and the pension plan

The whole package is comprehensive - allowing you to benefit in various ways

My pay is the best.

Review from Engineering Dept

All benefits are good for me.

The Benefits package is the best part

Microsoft stock is always solid

It was a hefty amount for early-in career (after coming back from an internship).

Review from Operations Dept

University hire stock is pretty competitive nit no big refreshers after that vests

The medical benefits (aka insurance policy)

health insurance and days off

Health insurance - very good deal

Annual cash bonus and 401k match

All of it. Valuation of Microsoft is best in the world.

Review from Sales Dept

RSU, Paid Health Dental and Vision

It's great but need more fast service for special human

Review from Marketing Dept

I need prof of salary mail or message in my phone for show my local bank to prof mine USD

Employee stock options are the best part

All - Cash, Benefits, Stock

High base and the opportunity to add stocks and bonuses

bonus money - rather have more rich commissions and less stock options

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

PAY. Microsoft is known for paying low and having low refreshers and promotional increases. Even if they never get up to industry standards, they should at least strive to get halfway there. They have the capital to do so. Definitely needs to be more than what it is.

After working for a company for 17 years you would think there are more chances to move up, but instead the likable employees move ahead and then block you so you don't make them look inadequate.

Review from Product Dept

Better understand of losing your stock vests when you retire

Compensate employees fairly instead if favorites on who they hire

Better compensation, it is peanuts here.

Total compensation x 2 (or 3)

Review from Engineering Dept

Management has lack of deep understanding of problem and has bad communication

Feel like I meet expectations and don't get rewarded accordingly

We are underpaid in comparison to others

In some teams women were not treated the same, there were bias which effected performance review. However it's only up to the women themselves to make changes. There is no help or fair recognition of the issues. Some lucky women were used as examples of awards to divert overall issues of slow promo.

I feel undervalued because companies in same segmant pay much higher and award more stocks while giving opportunity to work on latest and greatest tech

Equity. Rational and transparent salary bands.

A consistent program around promotions and rewards. It seems very specific to each manager.

The same person with similar experience as me earns very much higher than me.

Will feel my hours are worth it if my salary increases by 50%

Review from Marketing Dept

total comp. is lower compared to other companies

Multiple years as a contractor and no Microsoft benefits. Otherwise compensation is pretty good.

Pay is very less compared to Faang companies

I think that there is big breach with what MSFT earns and what is shared with employees.

I'm doing most of the work others get credit for and get paid a fraction of what they make
