MITRE Compensation Employee Reviews

What is the best part about your compensation package?

The retirement 401k fidelity plan

Work life balance and flexibility

Education reimbursement and tuition assistance

Review from Engineering Dept

10% retirement match. The first 2% is matched with 7.5%, so even if you don't contribute much you get a lot of match

Our retirement match is 10%

The sick days and PTO

Retirement savings are the best feature.

Consistency in annual salary year to year

Education and health benefits are far above average

The leave is pretty generous

Great Benefits...health, retirement, timeoff, Worklife Balance are great.

Good requirement & PTO package

Among the standard health and financial benefits, MITRE also provides both tuition reimbursement (they'll pay for your advanced degree!) and student loan repayment assistance!

I was interrupted as I started this response and when I resumed the survey wouldn’t let me go back to refresh my memory as to what the question w

Compensation is competitive and work is diverse.

Benefits. Flex time, PTO, Retirement, Legal Plans, Pet Insurance. Healthcare is good but used to be better.

Review from Engineering Dept

Flex-time, PTO, and retirement matching are all great.

Review from Engineering Dept

Very good compensation, especially for not-for-profit

retirement benefits and the overall compensation package

Review from Engineering Dept

MITRE does a good job of justifying and building compensation packages.

Review from Engineering Dept

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

Give us back our earned paid time off, improve the medical benefits, and stop forcing teleworkers to renew contracts every year. And if workers have to come to work, give them an office.

Bigger raises, larger salaries for employees with more years in the job.

Review from Engineering Dept

Our pay is less than industry average, and our benefits have been cut.

Lack of equity and low bonus structure is challenging

More pay for the workload and showing more appreciation. Verbal appreciation is fine but I don't feel like yhey mean it because the demand is ridiculous for the pay.

MITRE salaries are 20-25% less than other contractors. There are 0 stock options/bonuses and a "good" raise is 2.5%. A select project receives 20% higher salaries because the (US) location is "challenging." Staff doing the same work in similar or worse locations get no such equity.

Review from Engineering Dept

The company focus is on saving money. Bad health care, declining 401K options, no company spirit, etc.

More facetime with upper management.

Paid lower than the market

I don't work here for pay. I took a pay and benefit cut to come here so I don't have to travel and can take off when I want. I took a 10% pay cut to come here.
