Executive team is too new to MITRE and has no clue about what motivates the majority of employees and satisfies customers. Employees are extremely mistrustful of the executive team.

Respecting long term employees and core business.
My direct management is GREAT but there is only so much they can do to insulate their staff from the Executive assault.
The leadership team is largely made up of executives new to MITRE. There has been a push to hire externally but it has resulted in a shift towards behavior that is more akin to an industry company like Lockheed than MITRE's true mission and purpose.

They need to step aside. The company needs to put solid engineering (not social engineering) and national defense at the top of its priorities.
Return the focus to doing a great job. Stop trying to be social justice warriors.
Lack of direction and does not care about the employees. Employees are experiencing burnout and unfair treatment and retaliation. Talk the talk but not walk the walk. Just words and no positive actions.
lack of leadership is the best description. They believe they can replace managerical competence with IT competence. Meaning the one who knows the most should be the manager. Sort of Roman Gladiator type, but they don't allow for bumping.
