Motive Leadership Employee Reviews

What do you like best about the leadership team?

What I appreciate most about the leadership team is their transparency and clear communication. They lead with vision and accountability, setting ambitious goals while fostering an environment that welcomes feedback and supports individual growth.

Review from Admin Dept

Very clear, open and authentic communication. There is a lot of "heart" in this specific leadership team, and that makes it inspiring to work here.

Review from Sales Dept

Transparent with our vision, plans, goals and status toward goals. Smart, supportive, focused.

Review from Marketing Dept

Transparency and how accessible they are — you can reach out to them directly, and they actual

Review from Legal Dept

My boss is amazing !!!! she shares knowledge, she cares , she steps up .

Review from HR Dept

Review from Marketing Dept

Review from Engineering Dept

They are transparent and have come up with a very natural process for picking out the winning horses

They are focused on our vision and mission - they take a very active part in the business and inspire with their vision and passion.

Review from Sales Dept

They have a clear vision for where to take the company and really value the people doing the work.

Review from Marketing Dept

The vision is always shared, company values are integrated and recalled at every connect, this reinforces the focus and values company wide.

Review from Sales Dept

Setting Clear Goals and Transparency.

Review from IT Dept

The leadership team is collaborative and supportive.

Review from HR Dept

Amazing feedback and I feel like she really cares

Review from HR Dept

They are highly invested in the product.

Review from Engineering Dept

The leadership team is empathetic and keeps track of their orgs in a seamless manner. Delighted to be here.

Review from HR Dept

Their drive, intelligence, and transparency.

Review from Marketing Dept

I love that they're "all-in" and how flat they make the organization feel. They have a high standard for excellence, but they set the bar through example.

Review from Sales Dept

What does the leadership team need to get better at?

When they ask for feedback, they don't want feedback, they want affirmation of the conclusions they already made. Accept feedback, don't turn it into a debate to prove ICs are wrong.

Review from Engineering Dept

Raises can't continue to be well below inflation.

Review from Engineering Dept

Their communication from all the relevant stakeholders before proposing or launching something needs to improve ALOT!

Review from Customer Support Dept

The best leadership is the one that takes care of its employees. Simply saying you're the best doesn’t make it true. Our salaries are very low, and we'

Review from Product Dept

Committing to job descriptions, especially with new hires. Can't hire somebody providing certain criteria, then going and changing the whole company structure. That planning didn't happen overnight.

Review from Sales Dept

I can't pay bills with Motive clothing - give me $$ instead of clothes. Budgets are cut and we can't hire, yet enough budget for parties - hire more workers at non-exec levels! CEO keeps talking IPO but no action.

Review from Engineering Dept

There is more focus on constantly adding new features than giving compensation raises and better benefits.

Review from Customer Support Dept

Have more 1:1 with employees. Leadership team should skip managers and talk to employees directly. Approve innovation. Stop top down ideas. Shouldn't be hostile towards employees when new ideas are brought up.

Review from Engineering Dept

Promises by leadership are consistently not fulfilled. No apparent course corrections after blunders were made. No mechanism to provide feedback on leadership besides direct manager.

Review from Engineering Dept

Better salary packages and better benefits

Review from Engineering Dept

managing workload listening to their teams increments

Review from HR Dept

Managing Headcount, hiring for growth, backfilling, retaining talent

Review from Engineering Dept

Respecting our time, competitive salaries

Review from Customer Support Dept

They have their favorites and let them run the show. They need to be better at investing in the rank-and-file employees who keep the business running. I feel expendable here. No one understands what it takes to be successful at my job, and when I try to educate them on that, I don't feel heard.

Review from Customer Success Dept

Hire more people with extensive qualifications but also high emotional intelligence. Show us you're invested in diversity by hiring more women and POC in leadership and executive positions. Allow more opportunities for employees to lift each other up and recognize colleagues' hard work.

Review from Marketing Dept

Owning their mistakes and adjusting expectations. Creating development pathways

Review from Sales Dept

Trusting teams to conduct their work, as we are experts, and micromanage less. Focus on key initiatives and not scatter. Have better project managers and the right people on projects to execute.

Review from Marketing Dept

Leadership is disconnected from every department

Review from Sales Dept

Lack of focus at the leadership level. We are trying to do too many thing at once. This makes it hard to be successful here at Motive. Lack of work/life balance. Related to the previous theme. Unrealistic expectations/timelines result in either employees falling short or burn-out.

Review from Finance Dept

Diversity, inclusion, equality and belonging efforts; hire more females/trans people/non-binary folks for leadership positions; be more transparent about decisions made at the top; invest in employees more; improve hiring process.
