National Grid Compensation Employee Reviews

What is the best part about your compensation package?

Double pension match, life insurance

It works for me at this time

Pension, medical benefits, life insurance and 401k

Retirement planning and 401k match.

The overall package is nice, bonus is a plus.

Stock purchase plan of 15% off, hourly pay

The diversity of benefits offered.

Pension percentage and ability to hold stocks within the company

Median market wage, and up. The annual incentive is tied to the company performance.

Pay. Easily make 6 figures.

Very generous, regular and thoughtful.

Review from Engineering Dept

Paid well but there is no regards to work life balance

The pay is above average for an entry level position perfect for someone just starting off in their career who had never worked in a structured work place

The pay itself is good and the annual merit bonus can be strong

Flexibility on the benefits offering. Something for everyone at every stage in your life.

Employer distribution to the HSA account.

Review from Operations Dept

Salary, 401K company match, maternity leave

Competitive salary, year end bonus and favorable stock options

Review from Operations Dept

I receive a bonus every year.

Review from Operations Dept

Paid time off and the fact that it carries over, commission and ESOP

Review from Engineering Dept

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

Higher salary would make me feel better about my compensation

Vacation and time off has become much less than competition

Salary growth at National Grid punishes loyalty, as people who come in from outside the company start with higher salaries at younger ages than folks who start their careers here.

National Grid compensates people starting at 85% of the market reference point, which is a joke. I'm sure if I gave them 85% effort it wouldn't be appreciated! People with many years experience outside of National Grid are not compensated as well as those that have only internal experience.

I feel i deserve a higher salary

In management you are treated as disposable! Pay what the other utilities pay

All storm duty overtime should result in fair pay for management employees
