Like all things, who you work with can make a great difference in your experience. Our latest manager so far has not had a single positive thing to say at the end of shift regarding sales for the day regardless of how good or poor the sales were. Never constructive encouragement.
What did you like most about the interview process?
Interviewing with different people over several days was nice. You get to be introduced to more people and learn their expectations for you going forward.
What makes you most happy at work?
Interacting with some of the guests and coworkers. The fact that there is nearly always something to do as well, so time tends to pass quickly is a nice positive factor.
What are some of the best things about your team?
Some are very kind, funny, and hardworking. Truly amazing people to do what they do and put up with the things they do for so little. Sure not all share the same work ethic, but overall it has been positive.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
The coworkers such as other servers, bussers, and hosts have all been great supportive people. Most of management has been good as well, minus the newest addition who has persistently without fail managed to make the end of every day worse.
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
This is just directed towards the newest manager. Don't be a jerk to people who deal with irritable people all day. There is no need to put icing on a shit cake to end the day. If you can't give constructive encouragement, don't say anything, thank us for our work and carry on.
