OpenText – OpenText is a very stable company and, having worked there for more than 20 years (leaving and returning 4 times over that span) I can say that while the grass often seems greener, at OpenText, you know what to expect. It is, like most large enterprises, process-heavy, but it is better than most IMO | Comparably

What are some of the best things about your team?

A well-rounded and knowledgeable team that works very well across departments/functions.

What is the best part about your compensation package?

Regular reviews - not a lot of room for major increases, but consistent 1 to 3 percent annual increases.

What did you like most about the interview process?

Multiple opportunities to meet with not only the hiring manager, but the entire team(s) that the role will support.

What makes you most happy at work?

The opportunity to do what I do best every day, set (within reason) my own priorities, and contribute in the areas I feel to be of most value vs. a task-based management/environement.

What do you like best about the leadership team?

Transparent and frequent communication of strategy and expectations. Like most large enterprises, strategy shifts frequently, which can be frustrating for staff, but the leadership team does a good job of keeping staff up to date.

What needs to change to make the company culture better?

Like many companies, staff can carry negativity and spread it... I have found that one negative mid-level manager or even a few individual contributors can "rub off" on others at OpenText. I don't think the culture is any better or worse than most.
