Seems pretty fair for the job.
Review from Sales Dept
Salary plus commission opportunity is great
Good healthcare and we receive bonuses at the end of the fiscal.
Stock Options are the best part
Review from Customer Support Dept
In sales, I have the ability to earn a highly competitive wage by leveraging the comp plan.
The harder I work, the more money I make - and there is a lot to be made.
Review from Sales Dept
Benefits are on point and rewarding
Get medical and dental inscurence. As well as a 401k
Review from Sales Dept
Benefits are extremely well rounded and holistically focused.
bonus and retirement plan benefits
The employer contributions are extremely generous.
I am paid a competitive salary and have the opportunity to earn uncapped bonus and commission pay. I also have the benefit of having unlimited vacation time, which to me is part of an excellent compensation package.
Great commission structure for field reps
Tons of PTO! You start with 80 hours/year of vacation, 40 hours of sick, 36 hours of floating holiday, 8 2-hour time slots for doctor visits. The amount of vacation increases as you work with Paychex longer.
My hourly rate is the best part.
health insurance and tuition reimbursement
Ability to make as much as I want
Vacaton and my 401k match
Stock RSUs as a Director of Sales
Review from Sales Dept
My benefits are affordable, but I think that the pay could be better.
Review from Customer Support Dept
Annual increases equating to more than 2%
Better pay, better benefits for employees outside of CA or NY. Lighter workload, better work-life balance & better executive leadership decisions.
A fair base salary and compensation along with bonuses
Review from Sales Dept
Base salary is not as high as id like
More competitive wages for those working directly with clients.
Being paid at least industry standards and not being held back due to unrealistic views of how Paychex compares to other companies.
Compensation is the main piece. They do a good job of making it look like your valued, but money pays our bills.
higher wages for hourly employees for a start. Health insurance premiuns are too high for full time employees even higher for part time employees, which makes no sense. Don't take away non exec annual raises to save the shareholders during covid, we the employees count on that.
Review from Operations Dept
Our compensation plan is great and I don’t mind not having the best
Review from Sales Dept
A more robust bonus structure for lower-middle level employees would lead to more people taking ownership and pride in their results.

Paychex is the worst company I have ever worked for
Review from Sales Dept
Compensation is below standard, benefits aren't great, and the hierarchy within management is comparable to that of a Highschool - it's all about who you know. One of the worst company cultures I have ever seen.
not being told I am grossly underpaid but that they can't do anything about it. If you can't fix it why talk about it.
More money at industry standard
The way raises are determined needs to change.
For the size of the company, was surprised by the price of health benefits. Lots of grey area with comp plan. Management asks make it clear, you’re just a numbe
Paid fair market value for the position other companies pay 20k more for.
Supervisors and managers favor those who will toady to them and actively work against those who won't.
The market has changed, colleagues are leaving for higher paying positions elsewhere, Paychex has done nothing to address this internally.
