What do you like best about the leadership team?
The leadership shows an unusual willingness to learn and an ability to avoid playing the blame game.
The leadership team is very cohesive in determining strategy and committed to bettering themselves.
My manager does not communicate with anyone.
Leadership does not believe in micro-management. Everyone here was hired for a reason: either they are the smartest, the most creative, the most determined, or the most helpful. Therefore, leadership empowers everyone with a with a sense of autonomy. It has created an outstanding work culture.
Been here three days and look forward to 15 years more. Employees are awesome and have a true authentic relationship with their managers. Very refreshing for an outsider to witness this.

What is the best part about your compensation package?
Retirement is AWESOME! 401K match is fairly standard, but vests immediately. But annual profit share makes retirement a real possibility!
Honestly, the salary is excellent, but you really can't put a price on loving your specific job, loving your awesome boss, loving your wonderful coworkers, and loving your entire company. Cheesy? Maybe. True? 100%

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Yes, we are not getting paid for how we work but the role we are in.
What are some of the best things about your team?
Individual contributors get to really make a difference. Great ideas are promoted regardless of their origin. We all help each other out.
The values and help from each other
I am basically my own team. But I do appreciate ALL of my colleagues and feel blessed to get to work with smart, kind people.
The authentic interactions they have with each other.
Most of them have a desire to learn and work hard to develop themselves and add to the team.

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Point of Rental is the only place I've worked where leaders and individuals all actually cared about the values and lived them out - where they actually were used to make a difference. POR is EPIC. We really are empowering, principled, innovative, and most of all caring.

We truly care about our customers and our team mates
This is the most wonderfully dynamic work culture I've ever known: I love the in-house techy vibe that automatically comes with working in a software company blending with the close-knit, family-oriented atmosphere that comes with working in such a unique industry (rental). I have found my niche!
What needs to change to make the company culture better?
MD needs to change as he is bringing a negative attitude to the company.
What did you like most about the interview process?
For software developers, there are a lot of hurdles, but having come through them, it's very satisfying to know that everyone I'm working with passed those same hurdles. The panel interview is actually fun (if also somewhat stressful)!
As I am a part of the interview process, I am definitely biased. Communication and transparency is key! I'd like to think that candidates would say that we like keep them informed the entire time, from the second the apply to the job, to the time leadership makes their decision.

It was cool being able to shadow some of the current employees before I started. Not many other companies would be up for that type of interaction, especially if employees didn't love working there.

What makes you most happy at work?
Working with my team makes me very happy and the impact we get to have on our customers lives. It is a very fun environment where we all feel like family.
Getting to do what I love and getting paid for it! Having a fun and supportive team atmosphere with awesome leadership and coworkers makes the day go by way too fast!

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
MD needs to change as bringing the business down.
What do you like best about your company?
Love my job and what I actually do in my role as their in-house recruiter. Appreciate that all of my coworkers are subject matter experts of their own respective fields, and our Directors are all smart leaders who care about their team as well as the customer. Couldn't ask for a better work culture!
What would you most like to see improved at your company?
The communication within each team is awesome! However, we could benefit from better communication between specific department heads. Other than that, not much to suggest! I love it here.
