What are your coworkers at ProBuild like?
Some are great and some are horrible.
Some are awesome some are horrible.
For the most part the coworkers are great. It's the supervisors and managers who are very poor and unprofessional by playing favorites by allowing some workers to break the rules and punishing others for relatively small infractions.
What are you most excited about working at ProBuild?
The customers are great.

What's the office vibe like at ProBuild?
Most of the people who have offices are upstairs and rarely come down to interact with the sales staff.

What's the company culture like at ProBuild?
The culture at our store consists mainly of talking behind each others backs.
We have no culture.
If you could make changes, how would you improve the culture at ProBuild?
Get rid of the entire management and all the supervisors.

How's the work life balance at ProBuild?
Unless you're a manager or supervisor there is no work life balance.
There is no balance.
How's the vacation policy at ProBuild?
It's not bad but not great either. You get 40hrs of vacation per year but you can't let it build up and it has to be used by March 1st of the following year.

How secure do you feel at your job at ProBuild?
Working there is a watch your back kind of thing, you never know if you'll still have a job tomorrow.

Depends upon the tie of year and the weather. Slow in winter better in spring and summer.
Depends on the time of year. Winters are slow.

Once a year if you're in the right department.

If it weren't for needing the insurance I would quit tomorrow.

How difficult is it to maintain a social life while in your job at ProBuild?
Almost impossible the schedule is not done far out enough to make any appointments or even have a social life at all.

There is very little diversity, the same people make the decisions all the time and others are not allowed to have any input.

Very low.

Fairly good discounts but if you're looking for a discount on your cell service don't bother.
What's the pay like for Sales roles at ProBuild?
Low unless you're in contractor sales or management.

What's the vibe like in the Sales dept at ProBuild? How many hours are you working?
40 hours per week and as for the vibe it depends on who is working.
Depends on which manager is working. 40 hrs.
What's the Sales team like at ProBuild?
Lazy.
When management is not around there is good teamwork.
How do I do well in an interview at ProBuild?
Act intelligent.
It all depends on the position you're applying for. If you are experienced you'll do fine.

Who did you meet with during your interview? And how long did it take to hear back from ProBuild?
Head cashier and manager. one week.
Supervisor & manager. 2 weeks.
How challenged are you at ProBuild?
There is very little challenge other than keeping up with the ever changing rules & prices that change daily.
Depending upon your definition of challenging, the job mentally for the most part is not hard. Dealing with constant price changes that are made through corporate and not followed through at store level, not having needed stock items in stock and dealing with antiquated equipment makes it a daily cchallenge to do ones job well.
What part of ProBuild's business is growing fastest? What part is having difficulties?
I feel the whole company is heading for a huge crash. Management is only worried about making money for themselves and care very little for customers or employees.
