The organization doesn't accept insurances that a large number of people in our community have so they have to seek care elseware. Its a cookie cutter place to work thet doenst put much thought into connecting with our community - from a Coldwater nurse

What makes you most happy at work?
I love being a bedside nurse - I am proud of the work i do. I wish i could make it better for patients
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Engaging with employees and the community and to pay attention to more employee voices. Marketing is awful and does not draw in patients for the OB unit.
What needs to change to make the company culture better?
Attitudes. We have several loud voices that think theirs is the most important. We have managers that arent invested and have alot of long weekends and push good employees while avoiding negative employees or being reactive to them.
What would you improve about your company's interview process?
Human resources at Coldwater is totally disconnected eith the hiring process amd we have lost potential employees due to how long it takes for the hiring process and not keeing connected with applicants -its been awful for years
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
As a 20 year RN I am paid less than a new LPN at a nursing home - I am still not at top pay and i have expanded my knowledge base by getting my BSN and working as a clinical instructor at another facility. Our retirement is paid out once a year so it cannot compound theoughout the year.
