ProMedica – hard to be positive when I do not feel valued. I like the work I do, but it's hard to make change. Unless you're older most people make it hard to prove yourself and make a difference here. What would you most like to see improved at your company?

diversity and employee engagement and retention. salary.

What do you like best about your company?

the location and newer buildings

What did you like most about the interview process?

Instructions were clear and I knew what to expect next

What do you like best about the leadership team?

they're nice and work hard, but the executive team is not diverse enough

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?

Honestly it's hard to think about the positives, because for a less conservative person it is very hard to appreciate the culture here. The directors and above have it better, it seems. If you're lower-level, good luck getting taken seriously.

What are some of the best things about your team?

Everyone is nice, but I'm mingled in with other teams in cube land. Those people are hard to deal with sometimes. The company skews old, which makes it hard for younger people to fit in and be recognized for their contributions.

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?

More investment in employees. ERGs, and more events that people would be eager to attend. They're trying, but a lot of the events are not enticing at all or cost money. Their diversity needs to be improved/appreciated and it is not. This company is way behind compared to other companies nearby.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

If I was paid according to the market value of my position. Most people at other companies doing my job make much more. In my opinion they don't do much to retain you here, either. I would feel better if we got more than a 1.5% raise yearly for the cost of living.
