If you could make changes, how would you improve the culture at Qualtrics?
Top Employee Response
Bring more diversity in
I would make it even more diverse.
The culture is pretty great here at Qualtrics, but if I had to change one thing, I wish there wasn't such a negative attitude around working from home.
What benefits does Qualtrics provide?
Top Employee Response
Free food and catered lunches are a huge plus. Healthcare and 401k are fine as well. PTO and vacation are a little sparse. Pay is extremely low, though they try to counteract that by saying they're still a 'start up'
Full healthcare, PTO, catered lunches
Many. In addition to healthcare and 401k, there are donzens of “fun” benefits like free food and a basketball court (in Provo).
What part of Qualtrics's business is growing fastest? What part is having difficulties?
Top Employee Response
Everything is growing fairly quickly.
Our sales team is growing very rapidly, we are opening new offices all the time. Not sure if any departments are struggling, we are in hyper-growth.
Sales, having he maturity of enterprise sales teams, they should learn from their key competitor
What's the interview process like at Qualtrics?
Top Employee Response
Interview process is intense. They have an extremely high bar for applicants so chances are you won't even get a call back for an interview. You'll go though a whole series of talks with a recruiter and then go through 4 or 5 more interviews with members of the team where they'll ask technical questions as well as try to scope out your personality to see id you'll 'fit'. The whole process was exhausting.
Fair
As an SDR, it was more intense than other companies.
How approachable are your superiors?
Top Employee Response
Direct managers are very approachable.
I have the most approachable managers I've ever had.
Most of the superiors are very approachable. You end up collaborating with superiors often.
How much and how often do raises happen at Qualtrics?
Up for raise every 6 months. Full promotions happen every 2-3 years if you get good reviews.
Barely ever. Not annual. Must be promoted
The only raises are comp adjustments during promotions, no raises otherwise.
What are you most excited about working at Qualtrics?
Top Employee Response
Growth Opportunity.
Vert little. Self absorbed leadership
The company is in an exciting stage and a pretty good financial situation.
What's the company culture like at Qualtrics?
Top Employee Response
Feels like a startup.
Very competitive. Becoming more “corporate” by the day.
They encourage thinking outside the box and finding solutions instead of relying on a cookie cutter method.
What are the most important soft skills I need to be successful at Qualtrics?

Qualtrics' culture highly values what we call TACOS - transparency, all-in, customer obsessed, one team, & scrappy. Soft skills we'd ID as being particularly important have to do with living out those values, such as great emotional intelligence.
Be someone whose work exponentially grows the impact of others' work: be a team player, practice rigorous honesty (some call this radical candor), give others credit and build your team around you, not under you.
You need to be able to communicate and network
What are company outings like at Qualtrics?

Outings normally vary by team but are often opportunities to get out for a meal, an activity, volunteer work, etc. We make a point to have team outings quarterly, and all-company activities occur throughout the year.
Depends on the office, depends on the outing. Company wide outings such as SKO, Summer Party, and winter party are always absolutely incredible. Provo team activities are hit or miss because 90% of the time they involved playing or watching sports.
Super fun, we pride ourselves on creating amazing experiences for our employees!
What is the daily attire at Qualtrics?

We're a pretty relaxed place - attire is about what you're comfortable wearing to your workplace. Hoodies? Absolutely. Suits? Sure. It's about feeling comfortable in your environment. Most people hit a level between casual and business casual.
Whatever you like as long as you aren't showing your bits and pieces
Very casual, t-shirts, jeans and sneakers.
What is Qualtrics' policy towards pets in the workplace?

Some of our sites - like Provo, are dog-friendly locations.
You are allowed to have dogs. However, if you are in sales it is very discouraged. A member of our team did a study that only 1 person in the past 5 years has hit their annual number who has a dog.
Qualtrics allows Dogs at work!
How are the career growth opportunities on the Sales team at Qualtrics?
Incredible. We're growing so fast, there is a constant need for more leaders. If you're willing to work hard & want to help other people, there is room for you to grow.
One of my favorite parts of being at Qualtrics is the career growth opps. I finally have clear, measurable, and reasonably achievable goals to work towards to grow my career and advance my role. It is NOT easy. But if you have the right mindset, and are willing to work towards it, this company will truly recognize you and reward you.

What's the vibe like in the Sales dept at Qualtrics? How many hours are you working?
10hour days. Vibe = grind
Long hours. Under 20% of reps hitting quota. You basically have to get lucky and get an inbound/big deal to hit your number.
What's the Sales team like at Qualtrics?
The territories are so small that junior reps have to be VERY cut-throat or lucky to hit quota. There are serious growing pains present.
I like most people I work with
What interview questions does Qualtrics ask?
What accomplishment are you most proud of? What 3 goals do you have for yourself? Are you the smartest person in the room? What was your GPA? Your SAT/ACT?
Interview questions depend on the position. I know they test technical knowledge for technical positions and for many interviews use techniques like 'teach me something' or 'how many cats are in your city' so they can determine if you have good reasoning skills / can interact with people.
What makes you most happy at Qualtrics?
Top Employee Response
Culture is very important, cult-like brainwashing about customer successes of a company aren't enough for happy employees.
Working with others. I'm in a unique position where most of my days contain some element of interdepartmental communication.

The MWF lunches, the Thursday breakfast or afternoon snacks, and all of the other snacks
What is the best advice you could give someone during their first month at Qualtrics?

Make sure to get to know as many people as you can. On the whole, we're an interactive group so taking the time to get to know people outside of your immediate team is a very accessible goal and one which can help you in the long run.
Learn as much as you can to prepare you for success in closing deals
How are the career growth opportunities on the Business Development team at Qualtrics?
I chose Qualtrics for the growth opportunities. Coming right out of college, I wasn't sure what direction I wanted my career to go in so I needed to find a company that gave me options. Starting in Sales Development, you learn a ton about the company and while it isn't extremely common, there are certainly opportunities to move around. Also, we are still small enough that new roles are popping up all the time. The SDR promotion path is clearly laid out and it's 100% metric based. You also get plenty of 1:1 time with your managers for personal development.
