Red Hat Compensation Employee Reviews

What is the best part about your compensation package?

Healthcare, pay, bonus - although not like it used to be

My total compensation is awesome.

The stability of the company

This company believes in merit. Those that do, will get rewarded. A huge opportunity for anyone to contribute to meaningful work being done and to be valued and rewarded for those contributions.

Bonus and stock schemes could be generous

The education reimbursement, and the PTO is very generous.

Bonus, medical insurance and non financial benefits

Review from Operations Dept

It's comprehensive and I haven't paid any copay on prescriptions.

Bonuses are nice if the allocation is good

a high bonus and an excellent pension plan

hybrid, flex pto and insurance

Review from Sales Dept

Equity and salary with good opportunities

Tuition reimbursement, salary increase process based in inflation

Review from Operations Dept

RSU, Medical and 401K match

Salary and benefits and bonus

Varied benefits that add up to a nice package. Health insurance is included for all the family at no additional cost.

Large amount of PTO available

Based on Performance , Equity Allocation twice in a year.

PTO, benefits and bonuses are unmatched.

Recently closed the pay equity gap.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

get closer to a salary that aligns with my responsibilities

Review from IT Dept

Compensation at Red Hat depends on if you are liked. Not if you produce. Its all political which is why they can't retain talent

Salaries are a joke, they do not match inflation at all, so you end up losing purchasing power.

Grossly underpaid compared to the market, failure to keep up with inflation. Lost 30% buying power in the last 3 years.

The global shift to remote has caused companies like Red Hat to need to catch up with benefits that match the new landscape.

Review from Engineering Dept

Red Hat claims to pay competitively to market prices but we are consistently losing talent because we are getting underpaid.

peers outside RH in same position receive more competitive salary

A h hi igher salary and benefits package

I don't think my pay matches the market rate for my skillset/experience

This comment might be shown publicly, but t

RH sets account quotas in a vacuum. Red Hat makes their numbers but the sales people do not get paid because the quotas are too high. They need a better comp model that can be managed better

Please peg salary to market rate

Review from Finance Dept

Not paid market rate and shares gave dried up

Would like to see the company move to unlimited PTO, I have worked for 2 companies with this option and it was well-received and not abused. I would like a buy stock program although I don't think the cost could be low enough for me to afford it.

Review from Engineering Dept

A raise in my compensation to attain parity with those in similar roles and performance.

Review from Finance Dept

Years of experience, job performance, and other forms of measurable success (i.e. performance against quota) are not taken into account in determining compensation. Gender and internal politics often determine an individual's pay rather than data.
