The need for staff is growing rapidly and the difficulties are in professionalism and actually caring about the clients

I don't think they have an opinion one way or the other. They do know that we are going through changes.

How would you describe your overall experience interviewing at ResCare?
Very pleasant
What was the most difficult question that was asked during your interview at ResCare?
I really did not think any of them were really difficult. I was nervous at first but the ED made me feel not so nervous.
What should I wear for an interview at ResCare?
I would say to any interview you dress nice such as nice pants and a nice shirt. Make sure you are clean hair combed and ready to impress.
Who did you meet with during your interview? And how long did it take to hear back from ResCare?
I met with the Executive Director and she called me within a day or two.
What questions do they ask during the interview process at ResCare?
Tell me a time when you have witnessed someone doing something unsafe and how did you handle that situation. Tell me about a time when you chose to do the right thing when the other option was easier and no one was looking.
How would you compare interviewing at ResCare to other places you've interviewed?
The new interview guide is ok but I think the questions need to be more in depth. When I had my interview it was almost 2 hours long. I'm not saying that a DSP needs to be in a 2 hour interview but I do think we need more in depth questions. I have only interviewed with one other company and that was 23 years ago but even then I had to take a battery of test to get to the hiring point.
What's the pay like for HR roles at ResCare?
The pay for the job that the HR's are responsible for is low. I do this job because I love helping others and being a piece of the puzzle that makes it complete.
What's the vibe like in the HR dept at ResCare? How many hours are you working?
I do not feel any negative vibes. I work 40+ hours a week.
What's the HR team like at ResCare?
After working for another company for 23 years and coming to the ResCare was quite the change. With that being said the change was for the better. If I have a question and need an answer I know who to ask and they are always helpful. I think we have a lot of people in HR that are committed as I am. The HR team takes ownership of what they do and I must say that I am proud to be a part of this HR team.
What's the Customer Support team like at ResCare?
We work really hard to support our service people and our clients.
How's the leadership on the Customer Support team at ResCare?
Pretty good, comparable to other companies I have worked for.
How's the vacation policy at ResCare?
About average, maybe a little above average.
