He also served as Manager of Hardware Design of Miami Voice Corporation in 1988 and as a Controls Engineer of Pratt & Whitney Aircraft in 1987. He has been an Independent Director of Texas Instruments Incorporated since March 15, 2011 and serves as its Lead Director. He had been a Director of Texas Instruments Inc. since March 15, 2011 until September 30, 2015. He served as the Chair of the 2003 Ryder United Way Campaign and is a member of the United Way Leadership Circle and of the Wharton Alumni Association. He has been a Director of Ryder System, Inc. since January 1, 2013. He serves as a Board Member of the Miami-Dade Beacon Council and the Association of Cuban Engineers. He earned a master of business administration degree from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a bachelor of science degree in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Computer Science from the University of Miami. Mr. Sanchez was the recipient of the 2001 ACE Engineer of the Year Award and the 2002 Young Hispanic Leadership Award.
