Our software and the highly competent staff that programs it.
How innovative we are becoming in delivering our software.
Helping our customers solve their business problems.
How's the work life balance at SAS?
Whenever I visit HQ, I am constantly shocked by how "9 to 5" it is.
Depends. SAS has always maintained a "35-hour" work week but the truth is the most successful employees (long-term) often work considerably more. A few sluff-off and spend too much time at the SAS gym. This does not go unnoticed by those who "bring it" consistently.
Very good, standard is 35/week. Not enforced so individual mgmt may be bad
What's the office vibe like at SAS?
That depends on where you work and which building you are in. A lot work from home, others work in Regional Offices across the world, those in Cary work at HQ. My office vibe is chill. I work in a Regional Office and it's quiet and very nice. When I go to HQ, it varies from building to building. The Executive building is very professional and more intense.
Generally fast-paced with many standouts and a relatively small number of minimally-productive employees.
SAS is known for beautiful facilities and world-class perks.
What kind of activities do employees at SAS participate in outside of work?
HQ employees have a ton of intramural activities that they can participate in.

Very flexible.
It's very reasonable. I can WFH when necessary because I put in "core hours" in the office consistently. I do work considerable overtime.
What should I wear for an interview at SAS?
It does depend some on what type of role you’re interviewing. If a non customer role I’d dress nice professional but not full professional. The dress code if non customer facing on main campus in NC is pretty casual. If customer facing I’d suggest dressing for the customer meeting
Biz casual is fine
What's the company culture like at SAS?
The culture is probably something that we could improve. We are friendly and helpful, but there is a sense of competition that can sometimes get in the way. Also, because there are so many PhDs and generally smart people in the company, we sometimes struggle with humility.
Diverse and highly-educated
What do people at SAS think about the CEO? What do they do well and what can they improve?
Dr. Goodnight is a proven leader and visionary in workplace culture and analytics. He keeps up with business trends and tech. I think he should ask more of SAS employees and look for ways to reward those who "step up" with greater financial incentives.
Well biggest waves if your family you're treated like royalty if you're not you're treated like scum
