  • It varies depending on the team. The advanced analytics teams ask lots of hard grad-level math questions. You need to know the area you are interviewing for well. SAS R&D has a lot of legacy technology that was built by some of the top OS-level, database internals and Compiler design devs. If you interview for one of those positions you'd better know machine architecture, C, OS internals, etc. and have a solid grasp on data structures and algorithms.
