Mr. Stephen J. Luczo, also known as Steve, serves as the Chairman at Seagate Technology LLC and has been its Chief Executive Officer and President since January 2009. Mr. Luczo is a Co-Owner of Luczo Dragon Racing, LLC. He has been Executive Chairman of Seagate Technology plc since October 1, 2017. He served as Chief Executive Officer of Seagate Technology plc from January 12, 2009 to October 1, 2017. He served as the President of Seagate Technology Public Limited Company since January 12, 2009 and previously since 1997. In September 1997, Mr. Luczo was promoted to the position of President and Chief Operating Officer of Seagate Technology LLC's predecessor, Seagate Technology, Inc. He founded Balance Vector in 2002. He served as the Chief Executive Officer and President of Seagate Technology from July 1998 to July 2004. He served as the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of New SAC of Seagate Technology. He served as Chief Operating Officer of Seagate Technology since September 1997. He joined Seagate Technology Public Limited Company in October 1993 as Senior Vice President of Corporate Development. He served as the Chief Executive Officer of Segate Technology Holdings from July 1998 to July 2, 2004. He served as Old Seagate's Executive Vice President of Corporate Development and Chief Operating Officer of the software group from March 1995 to September 1997. He served as the Chief Executive Officer of Cipher Data Products, Inc. From July 1998 to May 2000, Mr. Luczo served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Old Seagate. Since March 1995, he served as an Executive Vice President of Corporate Development of Seagate Technology Public Limited Company and Chief Operating Officer since 1997. He served as the President of Seagate Delaware from September 1997 to May 2000. Since September 1997, he served as Chief Operating Officer of Seagate Delaware and served as its Chief Executive Officer from July 1998 to July 2, 2004. He served as a Senior Managing Director of the Global Technology Group of Bear, Stearns & Co. Inc. from February 1992 to October 1993. He served as the Chairman of the Board at Crystal Decisions, Inc. from August 1999 to July 2002 and Chief Executive Officer from August 1999 to November 2000. He served as Chairman of the Board of Veritas Software Technology Corporation since June 2002, Chief Executive Officer since July 1998 and President since September 1997. Mr. Luczo was Executive Producer for Crips and Blood s: Made in America, a documentary chronicling the decades-long cycle of destruction and despair that defines modern gang culture. He has been the Chairman of Seagate Software Holdings since July 1997. He served as the Chairman of Seagate Technology Plc from June 19, 2002 to October 1, 2017. He has been Director of Cobalt Networks, Inc. since 1999. He has been a Non Executive Director of Seagate Technology Public Limited Company since November 2000. He serves as a Director of Dragon Systems, Inc. He serves as a Director of Gadzoox Microsystems, Inc. He has been a Director at Seagate Technology since 2000. He served as a Director of Veritas Software Technology Corporation since July 1998. He served as a Director of Microsoft Corporation from May 3, 2012 to March 17, 2014. He served as a Director of E2open, Inc. and another private company. He served as a Director of Veritas Software Corp. and Gadzoox Networks, Inc. He served as a Director of New SAC at Seagate Technology. Mr. Luczo served as a Director of XIO (formerly, XIO Storage and XIOtech Corporation) since November 27, 2007. He served as a Director of Crystal Decisions, Inc. since August 1999. He served as a Director of Segate Technology. He served as a Director of Old Seagate from July 1998 to November 2000. He became part of the ownership group for the Vancouver Major League Soccer franchise. Mr. Luczo has produced shows for Discovery, National Geographic, BBC, UPN, Network 10 Australia and TV3 New Zealand. In addition, Mr. Luczo's Balance Vector Productions' projects include CoolFuel Road Trip, a Discovery Channel series, the mountaineering documentary Dying for Everest, an upcoming documentary on young people getting involved in politics produced with David Letterman's company, Worldwide Pants and an adaption of the best selling book Season of Life. From October 2006 to January 2009, he was a Private Investor. He holds a Masters of Business Administration degree from Stanford University Graduate School of Business in 1984 and a Bachelor of Arts degrees in Economics and Psychology from Stanford University in 1979.
