View ArticleDeal Score is a number based on a fancy math calculation made by SeatGeek that tells you exactly how good a deal you're looking at. You can use Deal Score to quickly find the best deals, buy with confidence, and save money in the process!
What is a good Deal Score?
Deal Scores can range from 1 to 10. Deals at either end of this range are rare, but a 10 means that this is one of the best ticket deals on SeatGeek. Conversely, a listing with a Deal Score of 1 may not be the best deal.
How is Deal Score calculated?
We factor in lots of things while calculating Deal Score, and we're always tinkering to make it better. Some of the factors that influence Deal Score are historical ticket prices for the performer and the venue, the row location, the expected sightline from the section, and the quality of the other available tickets for the event.
Deal Scores are based on an absolute scale, meaning that a Deal Score of a higher number is always a better deal than a Deal Score of a lower number even across different events.
What do the multi-colored dots on the map mean?
The multi-colored dots on the map are available tickets, mapped to their corresponding section and row. We also call these dots pins. The color of each pin is an indicator of its Deal Score. Green pins represent the best available ticket deals, red pins are the worst.
Note:
The Deal Score dot does not represent the seat numbers for a listing. Because ticket sellers often don't include specific seat information, your seats may be located in any part of the indicated row, but they will definitely be together.
What does a blue dot or a blue Deal Score mean?
Blue is the color assigned to ticket listings for which Deal Score cannot be calculated. This usually happens when SeatGeek can't make sense of the ticket information that is provided on the seller's website, such as when a listing uses non-standard section names or numbers. A blue dot or Deal Score doesn't necessarily signify a bad deal just that SeatGeek doesn't know enough to give a good answer.
View ArticleBecause SeatGeek is essentially a platform that connects users to ticket sellers, we give sellers a great deal of freedom in how they list their tickets. As a result, we allow sellers to specify the number of tickets that can be sold from a given listing.
In most cases, sellers will set up their listings so that theywon'tbe left with a single ticket since they're generally harder to sell. For instance, a listing of 3 tickets may allow you to purchase 1 ticket or 3 tickets, but not 2 tickets.
Our event pages include a feature that allows you to filter listings by the number of tickets available. That should make finding a particular quantity of tickets much easier.

How long will it take to get paid after selling tickets?
We will send your payout after the event ends but it will take up to 5 business days for the money to appear in your bank account.
Why do I need to have a credit card on file in order to sell tickets?
We require all sellers to have a valid credit card on file but we will not charge it unless the seller is unable to fulfill their duties. In the unlikely case that theres an issue with the validity of the tickets sold, a sellers card may be charged a penalty as well as the cost to replace the tickets (up to 200% of the order cost).
When you list tickets on SeatGeek Marketplace, you may see a temporary authorization on this credit card. This is a security measure to verify the validity of your card.
Do you charge a seller fee?
You can upload and list your tickets for free on SeatGeek. If you sell that ticket, we do collect a small fee of 10%. This is to keep our platform healthy and running. When you type in the price for which you want to sell your ticket, youll be paid whatever that price was, minus 10%.
The image below shows what you will see prior to listing your tickets for sale. If you look here, you will see the exact amount you will be paid out.

View ArticleThe secondary ticket market is made up exclusively of tickets hoping to be resold after their original purchase from a venue's box office, which is also known as the primary ticket market.
Secondary market ticket prices fluctuate far more than primary market ticket prices. They can often fall below face value, too. On the flip side, if primary market tickets are underpriced or hard to get, secondary market tickets prices often cost more than face value. The upside is you can almost always still buy your way into an event on the secondary market long after primary market tickets have sold out!

View ArticleTwo-factor authentication, or 2FA, is an extra layer of protection you can enable to keep your SeatGeek account more secure.
Once you enable 2FA, you'll need your phone with you in order to log into your account. After you enter your password, you'll be prompted for a verification code, which is obtained via SMS or an authentication app. Once you enter that code, you'll be logged in and anyone trying to fraudulently access your account will be kept out!
Why should I enable two-factor authentication on my account?
The tickets you have in your SeatGeek account are valuable, and we want to help you keep them as safe as possible. Two-factor authentication (2FA) is significantly more secure than just a password. A password can be shared, or stolen. With 2FA enabled, you have multiple layers of security: something you know (your password), plus something you have (your one-time password (OTP), which is sent to you via SMS or authentication app when you try to sign in).
How do I enable two-factor authentication on my account?
You can enable 2FA on your SeatGeek account from the desktop website, in the Security tab of your account settings. Once you enable 2FA, it will prompt you for a 2FA verification code when logging in from anywhere: desktop, mobile web, the SeatGeek iPhone app, and the SeatGeek Android app. However, you currently can only update your security settings on the desktop site.
Which method should I use? 2FA via SMS or an authentication app?
You have two options when it comes to 2FA: SMS or an authentication app. If you choose SMS, your 2FA verification code will be sent to your phone via SMS when you attempt to sign into SeatGeek. If you choose to use an authentication app, you will need to download an authentication app that supports time-based one-time passwords (TOTP), such as Google Authenticator or Authy. An app will allow you to scan a QR code to set up 2FA, and then will show a new verification code whenever you open the app.
What happens if I lose my phone? How do I access my account?
If you lose access to your phone and can't retrieve your 2FA verification code, you can use your backup code to emergency disable2FA. You will be prompted to download your backup code when you enable 2FA - it is very important to download and keep this code in a safe place. We suggest that you print your backup code out and keep it in a secure location so you never lose access to your account. If you do ever find yourself locked out of your account, please contact us.
