How would you compare interviewing at Senior Lifestyle to other places you've interviewed?
Easy, breezy... like chit chatting with.a new friend.
It was more intense because I had to interview with the entire management team at once after my initial interview with the executive director.
How secure do you feel at your job at Senior Lifestyle?
There is no way to feel secure in a position there. The turnover rate is so high that the average tenure of an employee is measured in months, sometimes days.
Does Senior Lifestyle drug test or do a background check?
They do a background check and they do a cheek swab drug screening.
How can I improve my chances of being hired at Senior Lifestyle?
Have some sort of exposure to Alzheimer’s and dementia diagnosed individuals.

Plenty of diversity among races. There are fewer men employed.

The morale is always lacking.
If you could make changes, how would you improve the culture at Senior Lifestyle?
I would terminate employment for the employees that have had more than 3 complaints by other coworkers, family members, or service workers regardless of if those employees are the favorites of management. Then, I would raise the pay to be competitive in the area for ALL departments.
What kind of people succeed at Senior Lifestyle?
Only the people that are deemed “favorites” by management.

They are slowly losing the reputation that was built by Poet’s Walk’s Director.

They are dramatic, caddy, lazy, bullying, crude, rude until a director comes around or corporate comes to the facility.

Business casual clothing is recommended but I’ve seen people in jeans and shirts come in for interviews and get hired

They take between 30 to 60 minutes, depending on if they try to give you a tour of the facility too.
