SideChef Interviews Employee Reviews

What did you like most about the interview process?

Being able to meet future coworkers and ask them questions.

Mostly positive well scheduled process, friendly environment, reasonable questions.

We all have to do an assignment related to our position and present it to the team. It's a great way of getting to know a person

Review from Product Dept

I liked all the questions asked during the interview, and the interviewer was really nice. Overall, it was a great experience.

The team was accomodating to my requests.

That it was very open and relatively straight forward

I liked that the interviewer took the time to view my portfolio thoughtfully and also considered how I would fit in with the team dynamic as a part of hiring me

They made me feel at ease

Review from Product Dept

I had to do a short assignment to show my way of thinking/working which allowed the team to understand me as a person, not just force-fit me in a role

More than being technical and about knowledge, they wanted to know me as a person to make sure I was a good fit with the team.

Getting to know everyone and the team

Had the opportunity to ask more in-depth questions regarding what issues the company was looking to solve to see where I could help.

Review from Marketing Dept

That they carefully choose the candidates who work here. Its not about your experience, its more about if you are willing to learn.

There was a segment for serious, difficult questions as well as a segment for more fun questions that were about getting to know me.

Review from Marketing Dept

Honest and open conversation, asking and answering questions

Questions that really assess your ability

Review from Product Dept

Real, transparent, honest questions that made me believe in the people that are already part of the organization had the best interests at heart.

It felt like summer camp; a group interview where we all sat on bean bag chairs. I didn't even realize who the CEO was until halfway through the interview. Everyone was easy to talk to. The best question I was asked was, "What would be your last meal on earth?

Review from Product Dept

I got a very thorough introduction about the company, the culture, and the job. It was made very clear what I would be working on/towards from the get-go.

I liked working on a project to really show my skills instead of relying solely on interview questions.
