How's the feedback proccess at SpaceX?
Process improvement system is very unhelpful and actually quite a joke
They don't listen and they don't want to hear but they will act like they do
nonexistent.. they will tell you how you mess up with quickness.. otherwise, don't look for any bonuses, or attaboys from them!!!
How's the vacation policy at SpaceX?
You are required to work 10 hours a day however you're only compensated with eight hours a day for vacation days or sick days which doesn't balance right. Very unfair!
Very bad for compensation especially for hourly because you work a minimum of 10 hour days but when you take a vacation or a sick day you're only compensated for 8 hours for each day.
well, they give you so many hours every pay period.. they got upset at me when I wanted to take 1 week off, they wanted me to split it.. even though I Never took any vacation up until that time.. again depends on how they like you.. if they like you, they will do everything they can to accommodate your vacation. If they don't like you, as in my case, they try and keep you from taking vacation.

Mine was about 10 hour process.
mine took about maybe an hour and a half.. then the manager took me around the site and showed me the site.
What's the vibe like in the Operations dept at SpaceX? How many hours are you working?
Ra-rah vibe Working too many hours destroying work-life balance
6 days a week 12 hours a day
plenty of hours, average 10 hour days and work some weekends, not much time spent at home which is fine if you are single, or don't have a life outside of Spacex.
What's the Operations team like at SpaceX?
Divided between engineers and technicians
The operations team at SpaceX is a dedicated bunch. They will work many extra hours on salary to ensure the objectives are met. Their individual strengths and weaknesses are countered by each other through closely picked teams by management.
Operations is ok, but to much favoritism in McGregor Texas.
What's the pay like for Operations roles at SpaceX?
Poor
Horrible and non-competitive
The pay is decent.. however, there is no upward mobility.. and the little that there is, is very slow, and dependent on if your manager/supervisor like you or not instead of your worth to the company!

Never disagree and always agree or say yes
Only those who have been there since the beginning are the ones who stayed everyone else are short-timers who only last one to three years

How does SpaceX make decisions around promotions?
if they like you, or if you are part of the "Good ol boys" club.. you have no worries.. you will be promoted.. sometimes you don't even have to worry about competition if your boyfriend/husband works there too..

Launch group very rarely promotes. It tends to do so based on friendship with management and very rarely on performance.

We don't have any only some groups do those. Very unfair

What's the interview process like at SpaceX?
Easy because they will tell you how much you can make with all the overtime you getting put in and get stock but don't tell you that you have to pay the taxes at the end of each year on those stocks what's just end up being another bill to pay
I am unfamiliar with the interview process now. It was an evolving process I am sure and may differ greatly than when I was first on-boarded.
How secure do you feel at your job at SpaceX?
Not very secure
NOT at all!! always wondering when my last day will be.. looking over my shoulder to see if I did something or said something that may get me fired..
How would you describe your overall experience interviewing at SpaceX?
A good interview.
I'd give it a 5 from 1-10... it was neither bad nor good.. but any experience in Interviews is a good thing.
How would you compare interviewing at SpaceX to other places you've interviewed?
It was much more fun than most. The people are interesting to talk to.

I wore slacks and nice white shirt and tie... which I felt a little overdressed, but would still wear the same.

Small cubicles
Open office floor plan. As in everyone lives in the cube farm. Everyone! Very small desk place for most of us.
What are the most important soft skills I need to be successful at SpaceX?
become a part of the click and suck-up or you will soon be on you way out.

sick days and vacation days should equal daily hours worked e.g. if you average 10 hours a day then sick & vacation compensation days should be equal to those hours
What is the best advice you could give someone during their first month at SpaceX?
Think of Space X as only a stepping stone for future employment and always continue to look for better opportunities
How's the leadership on the Operations team at SpaceX?
Everyone's afraid to speak up against Elon and Senior Management because of retaliation
