Dirty politics start from VP level up to CEO level, Management is totally blind & they don't rely on employees, but they pretend to be people oriented but they are not, & HR act on directions of Operations management, so they are good for nothing.

They should be willing to work more collaboratively.

  • The new office in Boston is open concept. There are no longer cubes and you will see rows of employees working. Getting an office is rare. Often many Vice Presidents do not get and office and may have a seat next to entry level staff.

  • It’s stressful. With more and more layoffs, teams are forced to handle an increasing work load that is unsustainable. More work leads to more hours. I work approximately 60 hours a week.

  • It varies. With such a large company you have a wide range of employees. There are exceptional employees that continue to improve themselves and work hard, then there are people who won’t carry the weight of the team.

  • Leadership is only concerned about shareholders and the bottom line regardless of the negative impact on their employees. Not many people are happy with management. More than one employee engagement surveys have been kept under wraps due to the abysmal ratings by employees.

  • State Street pays employees less than other companies in the Boston area. Any position where someone is highly compensated is usually eliminated then replaced by someone who earns less. Couple this with little to no raises (multiple years of no raises or raises less than 1%) and the gap between State Street employees and their equivalents in Boston grows even wider.
