A SwagUp is like a bonus or “power-up” that Swagbucks applies to your account. The bonus that you receive from the SwagUp depends on the type that is applied to your account.

Generally, there are two types of SwagUps.

A SB Award SwagUp:

This type of SwagUp will add SBs to your account when you conduct the activities that unlock the award. Examples of these include a SwagUp that:

Doubles the SB you earn for completing survey

Awards you a flat amount for completing a survey

Doubles the SB you earn when you shop online

Awards you a flat amount when you shop online

In order to receive the award connected with this SwagUp, you must perform the activity with which it is connected.

A Rebate SwagUp:

This type of SwagUp issues you an SB rebate when you redeem a gift card. For example, you might receive a SwagUp that rebates you 500 SB on your next gift card redemption. If you have this type of SwagUp, when you redeem your SB for a gift card, you will automatically receive 500 SB provided the gift card for which you redeemed your SB is greater than the amount of the SwagUp. In other words, if you redeemed 300 SB for a $3 Amazon Gift Card, you would not receive the 500 SB rebate for which the SwagUp is valid because the rebate amount is greater than the number of SB you cashed-in.

All SwagUps have an expiration date. If you have multiple SwagUps applied to your account for the same type of award, i.e., multiple SwagUps that issue rebates, they are applied on a “First to Expire Basis”.

What should I expect once my ticket is received

You will receive an automated email that will contain your ticket ID. This ID number is what you will use to reference your case with our team.

You may receive an email from one of our agents asking for more information. It is required that you to respond back in order for our agents to act further. Your ticket will remain in pending status until we hear back from you. If you don't receive an update asking for more info, no need to reply back.

You may receive an automated response based on the form you chose during submission. This is not from our team, so please understand that our system may be incorrect. Simply reply back and let us know.

You will receive an update on your ticket within the listed time-frame. It may be sooner or later, but please feel free to reply back on the same ticket for an update. Please do not create multiple tickets on the same issue, this actually pushes your ticket further down the queue.

You may notice that some tickets take longer to resolve, this is primarily due to the nature of the ticket. For example, a higher value offer may take more time to investigate with our partners, while a Search ticket may take a few mins to resolve.

Each square on your Swago board has an associated activity. Complete that activity to mark off that square.

You have a limited amount of time to mark off as many squares as possible.

Be mindful of the patterns and their corresponding bonuses. The patterns will vary in difficulty and bonus value. Try to achieve the more difficult pattern in order to receive the highest bonus.

There may be instances where you successfully completed a survey and never received SB credit. Here are a few reminders and tips.

Not every survey will result in completion as many surveys are looking for a specific set of users (Ex: 25-year-old males that traveled to Las Vegas in the past year). In such cases, we can't give you the full SB amount. Verify the messaging you received upon completion of the survey to ensure this was indeed a completion and not a disqualification event.

Some surveys may be credited to your account on a delay. In such cases, you will be told about this when starting the survey. (Ex: "The survey you are about to complete will not be credited instantly and may take up to 7 business days for crediting").

Account verification is a new security feature that Swagbucks.com is introducing and will need to be completed one time per user. If you receive an account verification message when you redeem a Reward, you will be prompted to verify your account through either a mobile or mail verification process. Based on your preference, a unique pin number will be texted to your mobile phone or mailed to your home on a postcard. Taking surveys is a great way to earn money, but this privilege can be taken away for various reasons. Certainbehaviorscan cause your account to be flagged and excessive flags will ultimately force your account to become disabled. To avoid these situations please review the following reasons why you could be marked for invalid survey responses.

Incorrect Age & Mismatch of Date of Birth

Swagbucks welcomes all members ages 13 and older to participate in surveys. It is important that you enter your real date of birth to match your real age. Your personal information is securely stored and we use this information to properly match you with the most relevant surveys available. If you fail to match your real age and Date of Birth, you will lose the privilege of taking surveys.

Poor Open-Ended Responses

When you come across questions that you need to fill in be sure you do not use gibberish, foul language, or a response that doesn’t relate to the questions being asked. It is crucial that you provide valid feedback or your will be flagged for an invalid.

Speeding

If you answer survey questions too quickly it will not only cause you to be disqualified from that particular survey but your responses will also be flagged as invalid. Make sure you read each question thoroughly and each corresponding option.

Red Herring/Trick Questions

These are questions that will ask you to pick a specific answer regardless of the question, for example. At any point during the survey you may come across a trick question. Answering a Red Herring question incorrectly will result in a disqualification for that survey and a flag on your account for an invalid.

Contradictory Information

Providing contradictory information will cause your account to be flagged for an invalid. An example of this would be registering as a female but selecting male when you take the survey.

Not Showing Up

If you agree to participate in a future focus group, recruitment, etc. and fail to show up you will be flagged as an invalid.

Please know, there are many reasons you can be screened out of a survey that are beyond your control. For example: the survey reached its quota, you do not meet the targeting criteria, or you do not have the proper experience the survey is looking for. There are also reasons that are within your control, like speeding through, that will also cause you to be DQ’d from a survey. Keep these in mind next time you are going through a survey.

Remember, if you accumulate too many invalids, your survey account will be disabled / deactivated.

Some Helpful Tips:

1) After you make a purchase you should receive an email within a few hours saying that your SB is processing. Even though it's "processing", you WILL NOT SEE IT AS PENDING ON THE LEDGER.

2) If you don't receive an email within a few hours after purchase, make sure to check your junk folders and confirm you have the right email on file with us.

3) It takes 2 to 3 days after purchase for your SB to show up in your account. If you received the processing email ( see #1 above), then you are on track to earn SB in a couple of days. There is no reason to worry about or submit a ticket.

There are a few circumstances that will cause you to not receive SB for an offer. Here are some examples:

The offer has been completed previously by someone who is in the same household.

You have an Ad Blocker on your computer.

You completed this activity through another rewards program

You did not click through Swagbucks.com to complete that activity.

You are already an existing customer of the merchant for the activity you are trying to complete.

Your daily limits are monitored by application, cookie, network & IP address - this means if you share an account on multiple android devices or have multiple users sharing the same private or public Internet network that your limit will be reached much more quickly.

To celebrate certain holidays and/or special occasions, Swagbucks will release Collector’s Bills for a limited time. These themed bills are awarded via search wins and are collected in your ledger. But this can be really irritating while one is in development mode and constantly modifying the javascript or css style sheets. The only way to see the changes is by doing a hard refresh or clear the cache of the browser.

Ahard refreshis a way of clearing the browser’s cache for a specific page, to force it to load the most recent version of a page. Sometimes, when changes are made to the website, they don’t register immediately due to caching. A hard refresh will usually fix this, though occasionally completely clearing the cache is necessary.

Account verification is a new security feature that Swagbucks.com is introducing and will need to be completed one time per user. These sudden exits are not always based on your demographic information and can be based on a set of responses you provided during the survey. For example, some surveys might ask you the same question twice to make sure that you are paying attention. Conflicting answers will result in disqualification. The best way to make sure this does not happen is to pay close to the surveys you are completing and being as honest as possible.
