Telvista was really good when I started as an agent, but it's lost a lot of what made it a good workplace over the years. My contract specifically has downsized a ton and while I know it's definitely a factor, it shouldn't be used as an excuse for everything being restricted and depressing.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
The leadership team does keep to their open door policy and are willing to talk and respond to agent concerns. They spend a lot of time on the floor with the agents and do not keep aloof.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
McDonalds is paying more than here. There's no extra pay for working weekends and the extra overnight pay is only offered for 5 hours when almost no one is working. No one acknowledges individual contributions and we don't get bonuses for kudos
What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
Some music playing on the floor, just like quietly in the background, would help a little. It would also be nice if we could have some of the events like we used to have at the old center, with the birthday/anniversary cake and stuff.
What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?
I'm an introvert at heart even if I don't seem like one because i learned masking very early, but also some of my co-workers are just annoying in person. Also, we're about to be packed in here like sardines, and there's still an actual pandemic happening even if we're ignoring it.
What needs to change to make the company culture better?
We should be able to have TV or music or something going in the background. Things like that are scientifically proven to improve the overall atmosphere of the workplace. Also, there's a ton of ppl with ADHD here, and if it's slow we need some form of mental stimulation outside of reading work docs.
