Terrible and unorganized management. Constantly make you feel guilty if you have to call out for an emergency or if you cant cover someone's shift last minute. Quitting was my best experience as a barista at coffee bean.
What are some of the best things about your team?
Coworkers are awesome, hard-working people. No complaints here.
What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
Way too understaffed, cant keep up with drink orders in a timely fashion
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Management loves to talk behind coworkers' backs, guilt you for being sick or having to deal with an emergency, overschedule you, make it very clear they only need you for labor and couldn't care less about their staff as actual human beings.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
I would offer a higher pay rate if i expected my workers to constantly come in on their days off, work double shifts, and cover other people's shifts all while NOT being notified or asked in a timely manner. I would also recommend some kind of empathy and compassion workshop for all managers at CB
