The work environment is pleasant. However, the clothing is severely dated and difficult to recommend to customers. New clothing is always being filtered in, but it is often disheartening to find exact matches of clothing at Walmart for 1/5th the price. It is hard to recommend to anyone.
What are some of the best things about your team?
Everyone gets along well. There is a constant stream of gossip, but it is easy to distance yourself from it. There is a sense of comradery within the workplace.
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Pay does not match the amount of effort expected within the job. Managers and leaders do not often "practice what they preach", which makes it difficult to give credibility to your superiors. There is a lack of understand of what should be asked of an employee making minimum wage.
What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
Prices are high, pay is low, and employees are fleeing like crazy. Torrid is not keeping up the pace, and they also are not willing to do so either. Clothing is dated, but increases in price. No one is willing to work for a company that has a lack of understanding of current needed changes.
