Torrid Environment Employee Reviews

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?

The flexible schedule and understanding that things happen.

The people I am working with

We come from different generations but we love and respect one another at all times

People try to be very open Minded

We have a decently diverse culture. I would say we are typically positive however we don't have enough diversity.

Corporate sends cookies at christmas, thats literally it.

Everyone is accepted no matter the size shape color or sexuality

working with lovely customers and helping folks, that's it.

Review from Sales Dept

My coworkers make the environment a very positive place

The way the executive team and leaders treat their teams and people.

Review from Sales Dept

Torrid offers clothes to beautifully fit curvy people. However, they charge inflated prices and don't listen to input about fashion and styles their customers are looking for.

Review from Sales Dept

Hust the overall bond shared between everyone

The clothes, the coworkers (not management), and the customers

Review from Sales Dept

Building each other up. Helping clients find themselves and most importantly love their bodies

Body positivity for customers and employees.

Friendly and welcoming outgoing helpful

The most positive thing is having supportive coworkers and having incredible customers that are so excited to see us.

We engage our Torrid Connection

The lifelong friendships you make.

As the store manager I am able to create our culture to some extent. The brand has a very inclusive and collaborative culture in general.

What needs to change to make the company culture better?

GET ORGANIZED GET A PAYROLL; AND HR THAT IS COMPETENT

Avoid gossip, rumors, groupism, false notion of women power and sabotage other groups/team members with personal vendetta.

Very bad at its best

To many chiefs and not enough indians. People show favorites a lot of gossip rumors basically Drama.

An attitude change from the SVP and HR Emperor

A new manager that won't literally LIE about you

Review from Sales Dept

Upper management. They need to look into their hiring.

managers that sincerely care for their employees and district managers that are involved in their work and are help accountable for more than sending an email or two. they should be in the stores more often and leading by example and showing the proper way to handle situations.

Review from Sales Dept

Depends on the mood of the employees

Review from Sales Dept

Let others warm up first

Have men working for the company. Its an all women work environment and although its great, there are many issues with communication since every single woman wants things her way. There is no stop to the gossip making the enviroment a hostile one.
