The work is the work, and the systems show who does it. The systems give management the confidence that people are working as they should, so they are unlikely to get on anyone's case based on their own anxieties about missed targets etc. I like the systems based approach.

Asynchronous interactions. In a fast, connected and anxious world the company (at least in my team) is aware people have different work hours, breaks and focused work time, so it is not expected that you are checking email or chat every 3~5 minutes to answer urgent things.

It's very solitary! Less focus on metrics at the cost of the contributors' mental health. More engaging work, more focus on team activity even if it introduces waste and redundancy. I'd like to see some pair coding, or a day in which we revise our codebase together and make it better, etc.

Remote work is hard. The company acknowledges that. The work to mitigate the productivity loss is not being done. The overwhelming, and obvious, feature that results is that good people are overloaded and they, along with many others do just enough to move things off their desk rather than finish it

As earlier noted, treat the employees as human beings and not machines. There should be less micro-management to enable everyone function properly.
