Lack of diverse in race. I work at Trupanion IT. There are like 1 percent of software engineer in the IT department that are women. 90% of software engineer at Trupanion are men. Leadership in IT who are women are all from the business side. None of those women have technical background.
What do you like best about your company?
Please hire people with technical background for your IT department leadership team.

Hire more people in IT!! It will helps you to built better software product.
What would you improve about your company's interview process?
Improve your interview process. Don't hire business people as the leadership for your IT department.
What needs to change to make the company culture better?
Please hire new people. The PM I worked with doesn't know anything and she has been at the company forever.
What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?
Too much meeting. Business people are the one that's driving the features but they don't understand what it takes to implement.
What would you most like to see improved at your company?
Please hire more women to be software engineer in your IT department. Not just hire woman as business or program manager for IT.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
No 401k match (which is very typical in Seattle). Senior software engineer pay is like new grad pay in most of the seattle Tech company.
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
As diverse as Seattle, I was shock all my coworker are white. As a colored woman on the team, I don't feel inclusive as all. This is probably the worst IT company I have ever worked in Seattle.
