Has been net positive, lack of leadership and integrated vision to execution has made progress difficult - but team continually focuses on quality patient experience even if the plan and vision is poorly executed, patients have benefited

My experience has been mostly positive but very frustrating when it comes to moving the company forward, feeling included in the planning for the future and executing on any consistent vision without a strong leadership team.

I love where I work but each dept is different. I happened to get a position in a bad dept.

Disconnected from reality of COVID life

Listening and responding to feedback

Although UCDH is doing well financially, the weight of the UC System eliminated raises this year - having been historically underpaid against the market - this just widens the gap

Regular review of position against market with adjustments, the organization is reactive in this area and would almost pay me more if I left and reapplied for my position.

I don’t like the way the unions negotiate our raises. I think raises should be based on performance not just it’s been 2 years so here’s an extra 3%.

Care about patients and community, open honest communication and passion for their work

They care about providing good service, they are focused on quality products that lead to quality care and work hard to communicate and execute on the things within their control.

A lot of people are so overwhelmed with work they tend to kee their heads down and are less inclined to help each other

Continuity in plan and leadership, communication, consistent vision and adoption - engagement at all levels.

A lot. People say they know you are overworked but then they deny your request for additional staff and then drop off a few more projects for you to tackle.

Too many interviews, too many panel members, lengthy process from first interview to actual hire date gaps

Less bureaucratic, too many interviews, too many delays from application to interview to offer

The flexibility to do my job and decide priorities without excessive supervision

Interactions with coworkers, feeling that I am of service to patients

Management needs to work on teamwork and conflict resolution.
