Our leaderships listens, trains, and works with you to get you to your career goals.
GREAT SUPPORT BUT TOO MUCH WORK, NO BACKUP PLAN WHEN EMPLOYEES LEAVE
they always treat you right.
Most people are friendly and will get work done.
I don't like anything about the leadership team. Sometimes they are nice but usually they are not very helpful.
Stop the hierarchy and look at and treat others as equals. Faculty should get off their pedestals and realize staff are supporting them.
White male authority and power still prevail at UCLA. If UCLA really wanted to know how to make things better then leadership would ask those of us on the front lines who are interacting DIRECTLY with patients and/or students.
The leadership team in my dept needs to be better at treating their staff fairly and respectfully. Micromanaging only hinders the growth of an employee, not improve it. Give them room to grow into their own and trust them! Also, stop bullying and shaming your employees - this is not okay!
There is no sense of concern over the employees emotional and mental well being

Bonuses and incentives for employees
Career staff are eligible to receive retirement benefits right away.
It covers my health too
Great benefits package and retirement plan
Review from Admin Dept
low cost medical insurance. Great pension.
The health insurance that is really good
We work for the State and that normally means a lower pay with better benefits. The Benefits are amazing, but we do make 20-30 less than public companies
My managers continuously belittle and shame me for every little thing that I do. Nothing is ever good enough. Rather than providing constructive feedback and support, they overcriticize and infantilize me and other staff members. Compensation does not match the level of tasks and responsibility.
MORE PAY, HIRE MORE PEOPLE IM TIRED OF TRAINING NEW PEOPLE ALL THE TIME SINCE PEOPLE ALWAYS LEAVE AND WE HAVE NO BACKUP PLAN WHEN SOMEONE LEAVES WHICH HAPPENS OFTEN
I work much more than I am paid to. It'd be great if they could offer better programs if not increase pay.
We have to pay for parking.. we are currently fighting for better retirement and wages.
My colleagues are great: humble yet hardworking.
They are always willing to help
GOOD COMMUNICATION AND SUPPORT WITHIN MY TEAM
They work together as a team
Everyone is extremely friendly and helpful
Be better team players and communicate more effectively.
Listen and actively take assessments of their work production

Nothing, they are great employees
We enjoy caring for our patients.
People are sensitive and support work life balance
People are respectful and inclusive.
I get a lot of intellectual freedom.
There are evident diversity.. so no one will feel left out.
Qualified and ethical hiring practices need to be in place
more vacation time, better work life balance.
Managers should micromanage less and need to develop better trust in their employees. Should have more activities to increase morale. Also, managers should be more respectful towards their staff and try not to control or bully them because they don't live up to their standards.
Have a larger & reasonable daycare system.
Decompartmentalized. Negative. Emotionally and mentally unsupportive.

The interview process goes beyond the surface to understand the values of a person
People are generally kind. Although it is a professional atmosphere, people are not there to judge you.... too much
Very friendly but professional and positive
Straight-forward, interviewer was very clear about the expectations of the job
Review from Admin Dept
I did really well. Answered all questions great.
Clear communication and timeline of interview steps
Knowing that I’m moving on to better opportunities next ye
I enjoy the amenities that are offered.
Interacting with and helping patients.
The people I work with and the fact that I really enjoy what I do.
Being productive and making progress on my project
What's going wrong? Micromanaging and control, plus lack of autonomy and trust in employees. These traits breed a toxic work environment. How to improve? Simple, treat your employees how you want to be treated - with respect! I expected more from UCLA, but it seems they hire managers who are toxic.
Daycare is limited and expensive.
No support for the employees
