Executive Bio

Mr. Craig L. Silliman has been an Executive Vice President of Public Policy and General Counsel at Verizon Communications Inc. since January 1, 2015 and also has been its Strategic Policy Adviser since June 2015. Mr. Silliman is responsible for leading Verizon's public policy, legal, regulatory, government affairs and security groups. He has been an Executive Vice President of Public Policy and General Counsel at Verizon Nederland B.V. since January 2015. He served as Senior Vice President of Public Policy at Verizon Communications Inc. until January 1, 2015. and led global public policy, federal and state legislative and regulatory affairs, strategic alliances, national security and privacy. He served as the Senior Vice President of Legal and External Affairs at Verizon Business Global LLC. He served in a number of other senior management roles at Verizon. He served as Senior Vice President and General Counsel for Verizons wireline consumer, business and wholesale groups and Senior Vice President and Deputy General Counsel, with responsibility for antitrust, intellectual property, national security, privacy and strategic product support. Prior to joining a Verizon predecessor company in 1997, he was an Attorney in the international trade practice at Collier, Shannon, Rill & Scott in Washington, D.C. He has been a Director of Terremark Worldwide, Inc. since April 4, 2011. He has taught international telecommunications regulation as an Adjunct Professor at the American University School of Law in Washington, D.C. Mr. Silliman earned his Undergraduate Degree in International Relations from the University of North Carolina and his Law Degree from the University of Virginia.
