Executive Bio

Mr. Martin Burvill serves as Senior Vice President and Group President of Verizon Business Markets at Verizon Nederland B.V. Mr. Burvill has been Senior Vice President and Group President Verizon Business Markets at Verizon Enterprise Solutions, Inc. (VES) and Verizon Communications Inc. since January 16, 2017. He has more than 35 years of global sales, marketing, operations, finance and general management experience. He served as Senior Consultant with Logica PLC. He served as Senior Vice President of Global Operations at Verizon Enterprise Solutions, Inc. He was responsible for customer care, field service and professional services, core voice and data product management, as well as the Verizon Enterprise Solutions, Inc.'s business process improvement efforts. He served as Vice President of Sales and General Manager for Verizon Enterprise Solutions (VES) in EMEA. He led the Verizon Enterprise Solutions, Inc.'s Global Solutions group, with responsibility for complex solutions-based enterprise client engagements worldwide. Other assignments included vice president of Premier Accounts in EMEA. He joined Verizon in 2004 as Director of Business Consulting, responsible for developing major enterprise network service integration and professional services business in EMEA. He has worked at board level with global multinationals and government accounts to design, negotiate and deliver global communications services and solutions. He worked for the SITA airline telecommunications group for nine years, where he served a variety of increasingly senior sales, commercial and operational roles, including three years as Vice President Global Sales and Marketing, responsible for 212 countries and territories and $2 billion in global revenues. While at SITA he also co-founded Equant, (also known as Orange Business Services). Prior to SITA, he served a variety of other roles including Vice President of EMEA for Global Crossing/Racal Telecom, general manager Outsourcing Services for BT Global Solutions and senior positions at Logica Consulting PLC. He has an Honors Degree in Electronic, Computing and Systems Engineering from Loughborough University in the U.K.
