If company treats all it's employs equals and takes action against people who are doing politics, managers helping their close friends and relatives must be stopped.Company must run an audit on such promotions.
Too management need to lead by example. When hypocrisy starts from the top, it's hard to instill a positive and trustworthy environment

Remove toxic managers, hold people accountable for actions and projects. Honor time of others and time-lines. Do not keep changing priorities every week and do not make every thing as priority 1.

Many of the senior leadership relies on those who support their ideas and avoid working with those who challenge and bring new ways of thinking into the company. Compensation structure could be changed to reward a behaviour that promotes working in a diverse opinion landscape
