What does the leadership team need to get better at?

Leadership Reviews

Less meetings. More accoutability. More management by being present.

Understand the business and procedure

They need to work better as a team. In addition, too many of them think they are smarter than most people at Waters. They consistently criticize the work of employees and leaders that have been there longer than them.

Empathy, being human, listening, modernizing the organization and their mindset

Listening to people outside of their ivory tower.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

Compensation Reviews

No long term incentive and short term incentive

They value the fresh PhD graduates. Mind you, just because you are a PhD grad does not equate you are good in lab instrument maintenance. You are only good with that field you study but not overall.

Having a viice at the table.

Company offers 1-3% annual pay increases if you're lucky (unless they are taking money from you during COVID). They'll brag about record profits and growth, but don't share it with the people who got them there. Start sharing the $$ in a fair equitable way.

Because Waters medical insurance is not best, I have never enrolled. When started at Waters, those employees who did not take the insurance, received a small stipend. Waters stopped stipend quite a while ago. Employees who don't take Waters medical insurance should receive a stipend.

What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?

Team Reviews

I do not have issues with my coworkers. It is the manipulative executive team that makes us all feel bad

Better intermediate managers who face their direct reportsrsther than their peers in meetings.

Managers divide employees by picking favorites, and let them do as they please while others walk on eggshells

Moral is so bad across the organization. It's hard to put that on the employees to change.

I would have said both yes and no about working with my coworkers. I think outside events are nice. In office setting, civility is lacking. I think our environment is toxic and I have considered leaving because it is not healthy.

What needs to change to make the company culture better?

Environment Reviews

Leadership needs to set the tone. Example- CEO keeps talking about people getting back to the office 5 days a week, and he works from home quite a bit. In addition, we all see his driver drop him off. Does he really need a company-paid driver?

Everything. Start with overhauling the executive leadership team.

Complete leadership overhaul is needed.

Manager needs to encourage team collaborative rather than put employees against each other to compete

Really no accountability. Also, no HR presence at plant

What would you improve about your company's interview process?

Interviews Reviews

Be honest about the organizational challenges. People are being sold a career lemon.

Be honest about the culture and challenges.

Faster feedback, less multiples dah

Use people with knowledge of the work to interview new employees.

Review from Engineering Dept

Explain the company processes and work environment

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?

Outlook Reviews

They are hiring too many managers and the upper management is hired to fill check boxes and quotas. Leadership is based more on race, gender, and sexuality than competence.

Can't keep employees or attract talent - that wont change until the culture does.

The company needs to focus on fairness among the employees. Certain systems are in place where only a few can prosper and people then manipulate these systems. Management should look at the toxic scenarios they are creating by focusing on staff The "numbers" are generated by the hard work of staff

Review from Engineering Dept

Management caring for more that their own promotion.

Again, no accountability, no HR help, disconnect bt great company headlines and pay
