Wawa, Inc. Compensation Employee Reviews

What is the best part about your compensation package?

Stock was the best thing

Posted 9 days ago

The benefits in 401(k) medical

Review from Customer Support Dept

Vacation time acrual and ability to use it.

Stock options working conditions ate ok

I have no idea I haven't even seen it

I like everything about WaWa

The insurance is great, having stock in the company is one of the best benefits.

That it is competitive with other companies.

Review from Customer Support Dept

i don't use their benefits because of parents

The stock ownership program. ESOP

The health insurance is important

Everything, but my actual pay.

My health insurance had been a big help

ESOP our employee to stock program.

All of it the benefits and pay is great.

To be able to feel secure with my benefits

I enjoy the esop and 401 k

PTO, and being able to switch shifts on the app.

Better than most places I have worked

401k plan and resources they provide us

Review from Sales Dept

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

just to be told and stop thr gossip

I dont have stock or benefits bc I just started in July 2023

Being treated failry and not getting over looked because of my race

Managers think they are above reproach

Absolutely bc if not for the bottom level associate there wouldn't be a be corporation

Overwhelming amout of expectations with extremely limited staff and no support , extra people and a raise

Review from Sales Dept

Management team overlooks more qualified individuals and pays them less than new hires. There is no consideration when it comes to others needing to delegate their income to benefits.

Review from Customer Support Dept

New leads become envious and competitive. Existing employees deserve a raise. Especially when new products are introduced and they are cross trained

Managers regularly make fun of employees and the customers are no better.

Higher pay, full health benefits, more PTO

Extremely long hard hours for lower pay with less stress

Fair pay for being a valued employee as I'm told.

if i got paid a livable wage and was acknowledged for all that i do

im here one year and theres no pto in my acct

I would like more recognition from upper management. I would also just in general like to be paid more for the stuff i have to deal with which includes rude customers, short staffing, and unappreciative upper management.

Being the only person making food on the weekend because other employees refuse to work weekends but have too many people during the week they get sent home early all the time. Better pay, more stock and cheaper health insurance.

A steady shift. I would like to work the same days and hours weekly.

Review from Sales Dept

I feel undervalued because Wawa puts profits before fair employee labor practices. I would feel better about compensation if Wawa would pay a percentage of profits to their employees in addition to an hourly wage.

Review from Customer Support Dept

Compensation is unfair among staff. When you realize that your General Manager has started your white co-worker at a higher rate of pay with less experience than a person of color with related experience - it's not just you but the whole staff who are colored or ethnic. Not just at 1 store location.

Review from Sales Dept

for all the work that i do in the management department i should be paid more. i am often the only manager left to oversee the entire store
