David Eves — President of Public Service Company of Colorado and Director of Public Service Company of Colorado at Xcel Energy

Mr. David L. Eves has been the President at Public Service Co. of Colorado since November 15, 2009. Mr. Eves served as the Chief Executive Officer of Public Service Co. of Colorado since December 31, 2009 until December 2014 and served as its Chief Operating Officer since November 15, 2009. He served as the Chief Executive Officer and President of Southwestern Public Service Co., a subsidiary of Xcel Energy Inc. since July 19, 2006. From November 2002 to July 2006, He served as Vice President of Resource Planning and Acquisition of Xcel Energy, where his primary functions included long-term resource planning, competitive acquisition of generation resources, negotiating and managing all long-term power purchase agreements, securing and managing the electric transmission access and rights for native load and wholesale markets, and planning and securing the gas transportation and storage services for gas businesses and for generation fuel. He served as Managing Director of Resource Planning and Acquisition at Xcel Energy Inc. from August 2000 to November 2002. Since 1981, he has held various positions of responsibility for purchased power, wholesale marketing, resource planning and energy trading for Public Service Company of Colorado, New Century Energies and Xcel Energy. He serves as a Director of the Association of Electric Companies of Texas. He has been a Director of Public Service Company of Colorado since December 2009. He serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the Golden Spread Council of the Boy Scouts of America and a Cabinet member of the United Way of Amarillo and Canyon. Mr. Eves served as a Director of Southwestern Public Service Co. since December 2006. He was responsible for resource planning for SPS. He has served on the Western Systems Power Pool's Executive and Operating committees and has testified before Texas, Colorado and Wyoming state utility commissions and the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission. He completed the Edison Electric Institute mid-level management program. He earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Kansas State University in 1981.
