Timothy John O'Connor — Chief Nuclear Officer and Senior Vice President at Xcel Energy

Mr. Timothy John O'Connor, also known as Tim, has been the Chief Nuclear Officer and Senior Vice President of Xcel Energy Inc. since February 2013. Mr. O'Connor served as Senior Vice President and Chief Nuclear Officer of Xcel Energy Services Inc at Xcel Energy Inc. since February 2013. Mr. O'Connor served as an Acting Chief Nuclear Officer at Xcel Energy Inc. from September 6, 2012 to February 20, 2013 He has an extensive experience in working with both boiling and pressurized water reactors and has the leadership skills and experience. He has over 30 years of commercial nuclear experience, including work on improving plants' regulatory, construction and overall performance. Mr. O'Connor joined Xcel Energy in 2007. Mr. O'Connor served as Vice President of Engineering and Nuclear Regulatory Compliance and Licensing at Nuclear Management Company, LLC. Mr. O'Connor served as Site Vice President of Monticello Nuclear Generating Plant at Nuclear Management Company, LLC. Mr. O'Connor has more than 25 years in the nuclear industry. He served as Site Vice President for Nine Mile Point Nuclear Station - Oswego NY of Constellation Energy Group Inc. since December 2005. Mr. O'Connor has extensive nuclear energy experience in both boiling water reactor and pressurized water reactor plants. He served in a variety of positions at nine different stations which includes tours as Maintenance and Operations Supervisor, Planner, Engineering Director, Plant Manager and Institute of Nuclear Power Operations Evaluator. Mr. O'Connor began his career as a Field Engineer. He has Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering at Marquette University in Milwaukee.
