Office Depot – sales based incentives are fine (spiffs, commission on subscription signups etc) however the targets are grossly high and subsequently adds to stress by making everyone feel like a failure at the start of each work day. It shouldnt be this complicated.

Goals need to be more realistic based on the staffing that is being provided to stores. Anyone of skill is being stretched so thin they cant get anything done because they cant focus on any one thing for more than 2 minutes.

staffing and following employment law (good employees keep quitting due to lack of breaks/lunches which furthers the understaffing issue). A simple fix would be proper training of incoming recruits & treating the staff like people instead of replaceable robots. Stress levels also very high.

Due to being treated like cattle, all of the decent people have left for other retailers or amazon, or gone back to school. Whats left is Walmarts sloppy seconds, and its becoming more and more difficult to train recruits on basic business principles much less sales. Maybe thats a symptom of society
