I love my job and I love my staff. The thing that makes it so hard is a RVP and sales manager who constantly are intruding and making decisions without talking to us first. In small towns the culture is different. They do not understand that. I have been screamed at by the RVP, staff could hear.

My employees are great, if upper level will quit doing things to make them upset.

Listening to directors and try to support them more. During Covid pandemic, we felt as there was no leadership that reached out helped. We had little back up or help in times of very high need.

Insurance is high. It is hard to hire nurses when they need insurance when our competitors insurance is way less. Our local hospitals beat our insurance rates. We need to be competing with benefits and health insurance.

At the agency level we have a great team. Issues arise with RVP/sales disengaged and doing things without asking directors that can ruin your agency and make your employees quit. No exp. in this position as director is awful. They have no clue. Makes it hard on us all.

As an Executive Director in this position for a while, the road staff, all staff and even the Account Executive makes more than I do. I think ED's need a market match. I have been approached several times for other positions and the starting salary is WAY more than what I make here with 7 years exp.
