If the company sharted showing that it values it's front line workers then it would go a long ways/
My local department leadership is wonderful. My manager advocates for us like a champ but it ultimately goes nowhere because hospital administration and executive administration only return with flowery language and no meaningful change.
We work hard and have each other's backs. We all relate to each other well because we deal with unspeakable amounts of shit on a daily basis. And we languish together about our measly pay.
provide adequate/safe staffing, pay employees a liveable wage, create a safe work environment by paying for police or security, provide the benefits we once relied on again, provide us hazard pay for dealing with a deadly pandemic every day.
ADEQUATE PAY! Intermountain Healthcare has barely kept up with inflation and nothing more. My "raises" have equated to me essentially getting payed the same now as I did three years ago. They also cut and removed 401K matching. If they brought it back that would be of great value.
