Intermountain Healthcare Compensation Employee Reviews

What is the best part about your compensation package?

pay, 401K match, education opportunities

Insurance and the gym memberships

For employees who they still do it for the 401k match.

Lots of options for investing including a 401k match

Review from Admin Dept

retirement package and insurance benefits

Short and long term disability

My health insurance with The HSA

The health insurance and HSA

Insurance isn't too expensive, pay is ok

The Pension which will probably go away soon.

I still have a pension

Health insurance with HSA is nice.

Review from Operations Dept

The Insurance benefits are decent

We get a 401K match and insurance benefits are really nice

Review from Operations Dept

Affordable premiums, good options to choose from.

Im still allowed the pension. Though that is not a perk for new staff

They offer great benefits that pay well

Review from Customer Support Dept

Occasional bonuses and gifts of appreciation.

The healthcare package is great for the area

Review from IT Dept

Very low health insurance rates.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

The benefits have gotten so much worse. more expensive. less benefit.

Never is the employee first. Compensation is good but realize you will work longer than your paid hours so it might not be as good as you think

Pay us for the honest hours that go into the job. The extra hours from home every week go unpaid.

the benifits need some help, and PTO on books

Review from Operations Dept

My compensation would be fine if the administration did not make so much just for sitting in meetings with lovely expensive lunches provided

They gave us a 6% raise but said it was higher than last year but in reality last year we got market and metit, plus inflation was lower. This year, no merit. Im often asked to take too many patients, but not fairly compensated for it.

I've gone to job interviews, and I've been offered 50-70% more than what Intermountain has to offer in basic compensation. if you go to Glassdoor, and you match your position to the Salt Lake region, Intermountain strategically undervalues employees by about 30% - easy.

Review from IT Dept

Competitive pay, and more opportunities to go that are not biased

Expect to be paid much lower in this company. Then expect to be worked to death with zero training.

Yes I feel undervalued. Honestly start with a thank you. They don't even do as little as thank you for your hard work. They will only thank the employees they favor and the favoritism is inappropriate and very obvious and unreal

I am a woman recently promoted to leadership. I was taught about salary negotiation. When I received my offer, I tried to negotiate. HR shut me down immediately, saying they felt they were being generous. I should have been paid more in my previous role. I know my worth. They are not generous.

Review from Admin Dept

Not very many FT positions open up and PT benefits are very expensive.

Pay us what we are worth--which is more!

Review from Operations Dept

IHC compensation is not competitive with the market in the surrounding area

My work is unappreciated and the bosses that do appreciate it and not just treat me like an employee get fired. My boss would help build me up to take her spot someday and they fired her. Then the new boss has too big of a personnel agenda to care about anyone else. It is a hostile place

Im undervalued because none of my prior experience is taken into consideration with my current pay.

Increase pay and bring back the pension to increase employee retention

Review from Admin Dept

They could at least try to be competitive with the job market. For example, starting wage in the lab is 14.45 and across the street at Best Buy it's 15.00. The difference is that if you mess up in lab you could kill someone.

feel there is room for improvement on pay scale

Been there 4 years and still making just above the minimum at the company
