comparable salary to competitors without having to proactively make the case for it. It's not uncommon to see change only happen when people threaten to leave or leave. They should proactively ensure compensation is competitive to show they recognize employee value.

my direct manager is amazing, but at the SVP, C suite and above, it's a mixed message - they want the best of us but don't offer the competitive salaries to reward, incentivize, and retain the best talent. We are losing our talent to competitors.
