If our targets were reachable and/or the pay structure was changed. It feels like people aren't paying enough attention to the fact that deal size has shrunk significantly and deal cycles are longer. This, coupled with the market, impacts our pay and ability to close larger deals.
80k is not a very livable base and we are really struggling to hit our targets in sales. The 60/40 split that was offered was insulting in that we only had to hit 25% of our annual quota for that to make sense. I wish this had been looked at more heavily.
It feels like they understand our concerns as sales people. Since I have been here only one person in NA has hit their quota and I think only one person has hit their quarterly target one time. This is simply because the targets are excessively high and something needs to be done about it.
