Everyone at Mixpanel is a good person, and everyone seems to value being a good person. In short, everyone seems to prioritize integrity.
I was able to negotiate a high base which offset some of the risk of no 401K and having equity in a private company. The fitness reimbursement is nice too.
I am most happy at work when we are simplifying our product and everyone is aligned on a vision, which coincidentally, is what we are currently doing. It's not easy but I think having a vision / North Star makes the "boring" work more bearable.
I think the best thing about the leadership team is their approachability. The CEO, Head of Eng, and Head of Product (among others, I work more closely with these three) are all people I would feel comfortable going to with any concern and they would listen earnestly and patiently.
As an engineer, I am always thankful to be here and have so many knowledgeable engineers to learn from. I think Mixpanel has a high concentration of highly proficient individuals. I learn something new every day, and everyone has an area of deep expertise that I can and do learn from.
